Learning disability services
To find out how we can work with the Healthcare Commission in
response to the
Cornwall inquiry, a project has been setup by the Integrated
Performance Assessment Group (IPAG).
The IPAG provides governance for joint working between us, the
Healthcare Commission and the Mental Health Act Commission, with
senior managers from all three organisations represented.
We have commissioned Lancaster University
to:
- map all information on the commissioning of learning disability
services to the white paper called Our Health, Our Care, Our
Say
- make recommendations about how CSCI and the Healthcare
Commission can use the information for performance assessment and
improvement planning purposes
- identify the gaps in information on the commissioning of
learning disability services
- advise us on ways to collect this information – like a data
collection exercise with councils and PCTs, or using existing
information such as our outcome framework self assessment.
We will look at what information we can use from the Healthcare
Commission’s national audit of learning disability services for
next year’s performance assessment.
