Annual service review
Updated October 2008
Find out about our annual reviews of good and excellent
services.
An annual service review is a report that we write for
good or excellent services that have not had a key
inspection in the last year.
It does not routinely include a visit to your service. In
rare circumstances we may visit your service when completing an ASR
if we need more information or want to clarify some issues with
you.
This review is an analysis of all the information that we have
gathered about your service since the last key inspection.
It will include information from:
- your annual quality assurance assessment
- people who use your service
- other interested parties
- any concerns we may have been told about.
We will usually carry out an annual service review six weeks
after you have sent us your annual quality assurance
assessment.
The annual service review is how we assure ourselves and the
public that the quality of your service has not changed since the
last key inspection.
Assessing quality
If the review shows that your service is still performing as
well as it was at the last key inspection we will not change our
inspection plans.
However, if it shows that the quality of your service has got
worse then we will probably visit you to do an inspection and write
a report on what we find.
The report
Following our assessment we will send you a report. You will
have the chance to comment on the factual accuracy of this in the
same way that you have with other reports.
The annual service review will be a public document and will be
available from our customer services department.
You should share the content of the review with
people that use your service and others with an interest in your
service.
In the future all annual service reviews will be available on
our website for everyone to see.
