Quality rating review service

Find out how to have your quality rating reviewed by an independent, national team at CSCI.

We have set up our new quality rating review service (QRRS) to let providers bring any concerns about their quality rating to our attention.

How do I get my quality rating reviewed?

If you are dissatisfied with the rating your service has been given, you have the usual 28 days to read the draft inspection report and contact your inspector through your regional contact team about it.

Our inspectors will use this period to discuss your concerns and consider whether the rating is reasonable and robust.

If you are still dissatisfied, you will need to inform your local office that you will be seeking a review of your quality rating.

Please note: If you want to seek a review of your quality rating you must wait until the 28 day draft period has finished.

You need to then send your request for review (see guidance and request form below) within 7 days to the QRRS.

How does the quality ratings review service work?

  1. The QRRS will ensure that all requests for review meet clear criteria outlined in the guidance below.
  2. If your request meets these criteria, we will undertake a full review of your rating.
  3. The QRRS will then give its recommendations to the relevant regional director who will consider any need for a change in the rating.
