About the assessment
AQAA update

Improved AQAA forms now available
What is an annual quality assurance assessment?
We ask all registered adult services to fill in an annual
quality assurance assessment.
The completed assessment is the main way that you will let
us know how well your service is delivering good outcomes for the
people using it.
The annual quality assurance assessment is in two
parts:
- A self-assessment that asks you to tell us how
well you think you are meeting the needs of the people who use your
service. (We will be using the current outcome groups contained in
the national minimum standards for your type of service.)
- A data set that asks you to give us some basic
facts and figures about your service.
What do I need to do?
Nothing at this stage. We will let you know when you have to
fill in your annual quality assurance assessment.
If you want to, you can prepare for us asking
for your completed assessment by filling it in before we contact
you.
You can download a blank copy from our website.
We will contact you to:
- discuss the best way for you to fill in the assessment
- tell you the date to send us the completed forms by.
You will only need to fill in and send us your completed annual
quality assurance assessment once a year.
What will you use the information for?
The information will help us understand how well you are meeting
the needs of the people using your service.
We will also look at what else we already know about your
service and compare it with what you have said.
We will use the information to help us choose which people using
your service to send a survey to. This will give us more
information about how well your service is performing.
We will use the information you give us in the data set part of
the assessment to inform our national view of social care.
