Key lines of regulatory assessment (KLORA): Guidance for inspectors
7 January 2008
Read the guidance that explains how our inspectors should use
KLORA to assess evidence they have about a social care service.
KLORA are the guidelines that describe what we
think a poor, adequate, good or excellent care service would look
like. They are based on the national minimum standards and
they help our inspectors make decisions about the quality of a
care service.
The guidance tells our inspectors:
- what KLORA are
- when they should use them
- how they should apply them to different services
- what they should do if they have evidence that does not 'fit'
examples in with KLORA.
