Amending or cancelling your registration
If you want to amend your registration, your yearly fee may
change (this could mean you’ll pay more or less depending on the
type of change you want).
We will not refund you any money if the change means you will
pay less in future years.
If you need to pay more, you will not do so until the following
year. This means that we will not make any changes to your fee
until we send you the next yearly invoice.
Voluntary cancellation
If you want to apply to cancel your registration, download a
cancellation form, or contact your regional registration team to
ask for a 'voluntary cancellation form'.
The voluntary cancellation process can take up to three
months and you must still pay in full any yearly fees that are due
within this time.
If we confirmed the cancellation, you may be entitled to a
refund on your yearly fee in line with our refund policy.
Events that change the status of your registration
Registration is not transferable from one
person or organisation to another.
If the identity of the registered person or organisation changes
you will need to make a new application. This would involve a new
fee and a new assessment. You will need to tell us in the last page
of the application form that the provider of the service is already
registered with us.
Here are some examples where a new application would be
needed:
- An individual or a partnership proposing to change to a limited
company
- An individual proposing to change to a partnership
- A limited company proposing to change to an individual
- A company proposing to change their company number
You will also need to make a new application to us if you
are:
- a manager who is moving to another service
- an individual, organisation or partnership who wants to open up
a new service or purchase an existing service.
