Schools and colleges
CSCI inspects (after the Department of Educations and Skills has
told us to) certain schools and colleges that provide some kind of
care setting.
These schools and colleges are registered by Ofsted - the
organisation that registers and inspects all educational
settings.
The following schools and colleges fall into this category:
- boarding schools – schools where children stay
overnight
- further education colleges – schools providing
education after the age of 16
- residential special schools – schools where
children with learning disabilities stay overnight.
