Inspection Reform: The Future of Local Services Inspection
Read our response to the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister's
(ODPM) consultation paper, Inspection Reform: The Future of
Local Services Inspection.
CSCI believes that the function of challenging councils on how
they respond to the views of people who use services is an
important one.
Our view is that future inspectorates need to be flexible and
that no one inspectorate can work in isolation from the others.
Inspection activity should be well planned and coordinated so
that it doesn't place an unreasonable burden on those being
inspected.
