Getting rid of the terminal illness (TI) category in care
homes
Consultation closed on 31 March 2005
This new CSCI consultation looks at the issues surrounding the
terminal illness category in care homes, and whether or not it
should be abolished altogether. Depending on the results of the
consultation, CSCI will make recommendations to the Government's
review of social care regulations and standards announced in
October 2004 on this category of care.
