We inspect all care services in England and want to give people looking for care services an easy way to compare them.

We received many thoughtful comments which we are now considering.

We presented the initial findings to our Commissioners at their public meeting on 13 December 2006.

About the proposals

We proposed new quality ratings, on a scale of 1-4, for all 25,000 adult care providers in England.

These would let the public see at a glance whether care providers are excellent, good, adequate or poor.
